The Walk-In Bath Arrangement

Walk in baths are developed for people who have physical limitations or mobility difficulties. The only thing that separates the walkin baths from the standard baths is the integrated sealing mechanism. The arrangement is done in such a way that when the walk in shower bath is full of water, the door would automatically close and the water would drain off. The doors could be opened only when the water is completely drained off.

A majority of these baths tend to have some kind of a step structure at the entrance, which is referred to as the ‘lip’ through which you can enter the bath. Obviously the steps are usually unnoticeable to people with normal physical conditions, however to people with physical limitations, these steps matter a lot. In addition, there are handy rails as well as rubber floors available, so as to avoid a slip or a fall in the tub. While shopping for a walk in bath, it is imperative to look at the ‘fill & drain’ capacities. Remember, in most of the set ups, it is the pressure from the water that closes or opens the door. Therefore you would need a walk in bath that fills and drains quickly, or else if it drains slowly, you would have to wait for a longer time to open the door.
